Summer is the time to try the more adventurous ways of tying a silk scarf. Bare your shoulders and back and feel the sunshine on your skin. I chose to wear the Soleil scarf in the knotted halter style to capture the full freedom that summer offers our minds and our bodies. These photos were taken at a nearby treasure, the Cranbrook House and Gardens, founded by George and Ellen Booth in 1908. To live close to this gorgeous estate is a joy I am forever grateful for.

"A life without beauty is only half-lived."
- George Booth, Cranbrook Founder
